Back and Reloaded.

So, yes, johnb is back from his taxpayer funded vacation to the middle east.

I've smoked quite a few cigars (yes that includes real Cubans) in bomb shelters, on T-wall barriers, and staring out over the berm on the perimeter of the base at the desert. The place was awful and it was 147 degrees there kids. On the plus side, the sand was NOT exploding, that's always good in that part of the world.

What did it look like? On images.google.com, plug in "dead camel Kuwait". Yeah, it looked like that. Oh, and it looked like this:

Now it is time to get back to work attempting to resurrect CaryPolitics and repair the damage inflicted upon it by He Who Should Have Known Better.

The last thing Cary needs is to have city politics manipulated and corrupted by fanatics hiding behind an organization that selects and screens candidates for public office with no public input. Yes that does mean Davis and High House . org.

Sign, sign everywhere a sign except at Carpenter Farm Supply

7 years later, the signs fall prey to their own karmic wave.

In fact, my front yard has this:

It's especially galling that at the same time Staff is sending out letters to private business owners to tear down their pole signs or incur fines, government is putting up its own pole signs.

Some have compared the taxpayer-financed signs to Hampton Inn signs. That being the case, don't be surprised if you see something like this on the new pole signs from your friends in Cary government:

Death of Hugo Chavez

New personal goal in life, should be easy to reach. Live longer than Chavez, irritate fewer people, be less of a hypocrite. I think I stand a real chance at this one.

Shark falls from sky onto Calif. golf course

Posted: 9:03 p.m. yesterday
Updated: 9:05 p.m. yesterday SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. &mdashNobody yelled "Fore!" at a Southern California golf course when a 2-foot-long shark dropped out of the sky and flopped around on the 12th tee.
The 2-pound leopard shark was apparently plucked from the ocean by a bird then dropped on San Juan Hills Golf Club, Melissa McCormack, director of club operations, said Thursday.
No one was teeing up when the shark fell Monday afternoon, although some golfers had just left the area, she said.
A course marshal, who makes sure players maintain an appropriate pace, saw something moving around on the tee and went to investigate. He found the shark bleeding with puncture wounds, where it seems the bird had held it in its grasp.
The marshal put the shark in his golf cart and drove it back to the clubhouse.
"He went above and beyond," McCormack said.
The marshal, McCormack and employee Bryan Stizer wanted to help the small shark, so they stuck it in a bucket of water. Then somebody remembered it wasn't a fresh water animal, so they stirred up some "homemade sea water" using sea salt from the kitchen, she said.
"We knew we had to get it to the ocean as fast as possible," McCormack said.
She grabbed a photo of the shark before Stizer headed to the sea.
"When Brian put it in the water, it didn't move," she said, "but then it flipped and took off."
It's the first time anyone could remember a shark falling from the sky at the golf course.
"We have your typical coyotes, skunks and the occasional mountain lion, but nothing like a shark," McCormack said.

Overseas ballots

So we're in that time of year when Joe's overseas have to request their absentee ballots.

Remember, the military votes overwhelmingly Republican. This is going to be a tight election in NC as the Moron Demographic is significant. They'll be lining up in droves to vote for the guy that turned a recession into a depression and is set to double down on failure.

Well, the Donkeys know that if they get rid of military ballots they might be able to flip a few races here and there.

So far none of us have received our NC absentee ballots and I've heard a Voting Officer in another NC unit complaining about the process of getting ballots from the state. My Federal ballot request post card went out several weeks ago.

This might be a replay of Florida 2000, instead of waiting for (Algor's) attorneys to get their hands on the ballots and mar them the Donkeys may just make sure there is no ballot to have to destroy.

We'll see.

What do you remember about 9/11?

Here it is, the eleventh anniversary of 9/11 and I am in the middle east, mobilized/deployed/crusty with sand.

My thoughts on 9/11 have evolved to the point where now I resent that we ever committed ourselves to military action against al Qaeda.

6,000 lives and trillions of dollars gone forever, for what?

The very people at ground zero, scratch that, all of New York State, are not now and never were in favor of a war response to these events. In 2004 they voted for a PoS who wore medals he did not earn and lied about his own service and that of US troops in the aggregate in Vietnam. Kerry was against the war before he was for it or was that reversed? He flopped and flipped with such frequency he could have had a career as a sex toy.

Ultimately, the Democrats used opposition to the war as a political litmus test/stunt. Where Wendell Wilkie refused to criticize FDR over the conduct of WW2, Kerry and the Donkeys did nothing but attack and denigrate George W. Bush over the war. So much for the dictate that politics stops as the shoreline.

Ultimately, the military fought a war on behalf of a place, NY, whose people did not support the war. That lack of support should have short circuited any and all military responses to 9/11. We know better now.

The anti-war protestors had a lot of slogans, they stopped protesting once O'Bama won the election in 2008 even though the wars roll on. "No war for oil", that was genius, in a world where genius means ignorant, puerile, and incapable of maturation. We should have been chanting "No war for New York". It is wrong to suggest or ask Red State soldiers to go to war on behalf of Blue States. 9/11 should have been handled as the Democrats wanted to handle it, as Clinton handled the first WTC bombing, as a police matter. Never again. Not another war for NY. The NYPD and the NYNG should have been the ones to manage the response. They could have had anyone they arrested charged and tried in a civilian court right there in NYC, it's what they wanted all along.

War

I'm not saying I am in the middle east in the Army, but *if* I were I'd be wondering why the anti-war nuts stopped screaming "no blood for oil" and other asinine slogans the minute Bush left office.

Not any protests against any of O'Bama's wars...but then, there aren't any wars going on, there is a Donkey in the White House.

Like most all leftists, their principles are tied solely the their partisan affiliation.

How bad will O’Bama loose ?

...and here is why....

Obamacare is unconstitutional if it were to be enacted via the Commerce Clause, but not if it’s simply a tax, the justice wrote. “Because the Constitution permits such a tax, it is not our role to forbid it, or to pass upon its wisdom or fairness.”

In so doing, Justice Roberts has just busted Campaign 2012 wide open. The high court’s ruling leaves in place 21 tax increases costing nearly $700 billion. Of those taxes, 12 would affect families earning less than $250,000 per year.

Now that Obamacare’s penalty is a “tax,” not a “fee,” Mr. Obama is breaking a 2008 campaign pledge not to raise taxes on Americans earning less than $250,000. This new “tax” will hit across the economic spectrum, despite his campaign declaration that health care should “never be purchased with tax increase on middle-class families.” Now, Mr. Obama and congressional Democrats have enacted the largest tax increase in history.

Chief Justice Roberts has given Mitt Romney a key attack: The president is a tax-and-spend liberal bent on expanding government to unprecedented levels. And the presumed Republican nominee knows it: “If we want to get rid of Obamacare, we’re going to have to replace President Obama,” he said from a rooftop in Washington overlooking the Capitol. “What the court did not do on its last day in session, I will do on my first day if elected president.”

Connexion, Capitol Broadband and why Glen Lang Sucks

All,

To date, this thread has been viewed over 16,000 times. This is an indication of what a compelling story, an audience (you), an obvious good guy (me), and a verifiable evil PoS (Glen Lang) can produce when they intersect.

To put this in perspective: there aren't 16,000 who actually bother to read the print version of the local newspaper (the News and Observer) here in Raleigh.

Cary Politics was moribund, (even having been offline for 6 months or so) until I returned after an extended absence and used this platform to expose this issue.

What does this mean?

  1. The first and most obvious answer: Lang is a degenerate criminal, of course.
  2. A compelling story based upon facts where the persons involved/impacted are allowed & encouraged to participate as far as they feel comfortable will draw more participants and readers. Newspapers fail as they are nothing but a politically radical class, journalists, engaged in agit/prop masquerading as "news". This medium is, effectively, an end run around the traditional forms of media censorship. The legacy print media ignores stories they don't understand or stories that run counter to their political beliefs. This bleeds into #3......
  3. The alleged main stream media is loathe to deal with stories they cannot understand. The manipulation of DirecTV stock by fraudulent inflation of the number of alleged customers is a story that is simply too complex for most business page writers to deal with, they cannot understand it.
  4. I think most interesting of all is how many Connexion employees (past and current) have reached out to me via email and phone to reveal most of the significant data shown in this thread. There is a fairly extensive lack of trust of traditional reporters and their medium. Basically, these Connexion employees understand points 1, 2, and 3 above. Ergo, they won't contact or communicate with a legacy media reporter.

The followup story to this one is the coup d' etat of municipal government in Cary by Jim Goodnight. The richest man in the state owns Cary city government. He purchased three Mayors, numerous city council members, a city manager, and many others. Lang was just one of Jim Goodnight's assets, one of his puppets. There are more and these puppets have derailed road construction projects on behalf of Goodnight, they've caused the city to spend tens of millions on "art" projects for the benefit of the Whine and Cheese Crowd, and they have destroyed the transparency, legitimacy, and integrity of municipal government in Cary.

By the way, a cup of coffee, on me at Starbucks to whoever shoots me an email first identifying Connexion Technologies resident drug dealer. (I already know the answer and soon the CPD will as well.)

Wisconsin

So, the Media, the public employee unions, and the Democratic Party lost their *** last night in Wisconsin.

Even on the exit polls, let me restate that, on the EXIT POLLS - the ones taken after a person votes, the Media managed to over state the Democrats vote count by 7%.

Make no mistake folks, yesterday was a blow out against the Donkeys, the Unions, and the Media.

Romney will win Wisconsin in the fall. The public employee unions are going to be attacked and broken in more states now. We the People will recover our government.
