The only reason that crimminal will see the inside of a cell is because the Feds stepped in and nabbed her. The state *may* bother to prosecute her but that's only to cover their a$$. We're no different than any other one party state/banana republic in that regard. We have corrupted elections and a political class above and beyond the law, or as the Vice Perpetrator used to say, "There is no controlling legal authority."

I cant help but agree with you John. But I still dont think she will see the inside of a jail cell.
I wonder if anyone will actually say she isn't guilty, unless of course Meg visits this site too!

Maybe she'll share a cell with Martha Stewart. That would be a good thing.

Just to play around a little. Say she is innocent, and really didn't have a clue as to all the little underhanded deals going on. I still say she should go to jail for being completely oblivious and ignorant! (just like those people who voted for Wally)
But hopefully she WILL serve jail time...

The candidate ought to be ultimately responsible for his/her campaign and be aware of what's going on with finances.

I think the best part of the testimony before the State Board of Elections came from ol' Meg's hubby, who, in short, basically came within a hair of calling his wife a brainless bimbo.
Meg reinforced HIS testimony by acting and answering questions as if she were utterly clueless. Her trial defense might be quite funny.
"Your honor, my client can't be guilty, she's too stupid to mastermind a bank deposit much less a cash for contracts scheme at the Dep't of Agriculture."

John, are your views about campaign finance irregularities identical, regardless of whether the potential irregularities are associated with the agriculture commissioner or a mayoral candidate?

Absolutely Brent. If you or anyone has evidence that Ernie was complicit in attempting to violate that law throw the book at him.
Sorry, I'm not a Donkeycrat, I believe the law applies to everyone.
Of course, I also think JULIEFORCARY! is merely practicing smashmouth, gutter politicis right now, as she has demonstrated a willingness to from day one. Let's not confuse her willingness to make up bogus ethics complaints with serious evidence of wrong doing.
Clubber Lang might have been right about her. She is slimy.
