Memorial Day Service

Every year there is a service to honor our fallen heroes at the cemetery downtown. We were out of town and missed this year, but we've been to every other service since we've lived in Cary.

It's also been nice to see the number of participants grow from a dozen or so a decade ago to a hundred or more recently.

Oh, and although I don't expect to be invited to a party at their houses any time soon :wink: , compliments to Jack Smith and David Price for being at this service nearly every year, too...even back when only about a dozen people attended.

Oh, and although this topic is "Compliments to our Town", and this is a compliment to the Town, compliments really are due to the American Legion, who organizes and conducts this service every year.

Jack has a reason to be there though, he's the only veteran on the city council.
