When mowing yard, hitting rock is not good. When hitting rock and breaking rock is even worse. Breaking blade is a pain in the butt. I broke not only the blade, but the rock too. Now I have to find the part that holds the blade to the mower, cause I broke that too. Ughhhhhhhh

You may have bent the driveshaft on it as well. If it is a cheap mower you can throw it away now. It will literally vibrate till is shakes itself apart.
If it is a decent mower, Sears/Craftsman, John Deere, et al, you can get it fixed but it will cost you.
Here's the next tip, don't run ove low cut stumps either.

John
Its a craftsman...We got the part today and hubby is going to try and fix it for me. When I caught the rock..once i got all the rock parts out, it cut just fine and didnt rattle. But this weekend when I started it up it did shake. It shook a lot...Im hoping this will fix it.
Hey Don...this message doesnt really fit in a politics area....what about a useful tips section that we could pose to one another...whether its about lawn mowers...or whatever.

If it shook with a broken blade that may not be a problem with the drive shaft. If it shakes with the new blade you better get it in for service cause the drive shaft is bent.
I know a good mechanic

LAwn Mower works. And works so well that the hubby even mowed the yard for me. Except he missed a spot.

Don't attempt to remove ceramic wall tile after having three "Hurricanes" at Copelands.
The Mrs. is not happy with the major portions of sheetrock missing from her kitchen. However, on the bright side, some lucky "sheetrocker" will benefit from my mistakes :) .
