CORRECTION! Meeting is the 14th, not the 7th!

Reminder, next meeting is *NEXT* Wednesday 04/14, 7:00 p.m. at Copeland's in the Centrum.

Agenda to include “mission statement”/goals & objectives as well as general thoughts/positions about budget/fiscal issues in town (everyone to share his/her perspective, pet projects, ideas, etc.). There also was a suggestion to define smaller groups to focus on certain budget areas, perhaps by department.

Homework is to review the budget that was distributed at the meeting.

Hope to see everyone there.

Brent,

I am writing this so you know people are reading your messages. I'm actually surprised there have not been more postings. Hopefully everyone is still energized to be on the board.

I'll see everyone tonight.

CORRECTION!

The meeting actually is *NEXT* Wednesday, April 14 (NOT tonight!)

My sincere apologies. Don Hyatt has said he will send an e-mail reminder also.

(Matt, I guess maybe it would be good if people had NOT read this particular post! But I agree, we can accomplish a lot using these forums, between meetings, and I look forward to additional posts from the group, too).

Nobody posts until somebody posts Matt. How ya been anyways?
They're still interested, don't you worry!

I will try and make it, but you guys make it hard for us in the accounting and tax business.

I vote that next time we meet after the tax filing deadline.
Maybe I can sneak away for an hour or two. Is Don buying?? :)

Just a reminder that we really *ARE* meeting tonight, Wednesday 04/14, 7:00 p.m. at Copeland's. Hope to see everyone there -- even tax preparers, Spiros! :)

Suggested agenda topics:

- BRIEF statement from each participant about the basis of their interest, if they are interested in particular topics or projects, etc.

- Try to come up with a mission statement/objectives for our group

- Generate a list of questions/requests for additional data that we can present to Staff "all at once" (if there are items you want to know more about after reading the budget, please identify them)

- Plan next steps/where do we go from here, when do we meet next, who is doing what, etc.

- Anything else that people think needs to be on the agenda.

Food & drink will be intermixed with the agenda, of course. Spiros, I heard the rumor that Don is buying but I can't confirm it. I think everyone should plan to buy their own dinner...

On the lighter side, I will kick $10 for Mr. Oliver's dinner; will someone match? I am sure that Mr. Oliver will give a much better review of Copeland's than I did.

Brent - thanks for the organization set-up.

Hi Don! Hope all is well on your end. When are we going to get together for that cup of coffee/beer?

Hope to see you tonight.
