Only fair thing to do. You have to be registered to vote, so here's our very first game of CaryPolitics Survivor :P We'll run the poll for 7 days.

It might be stupid but the issue is not.
Add another choice?
He can stay and be anonymous, but anonymous users will be blocked if they attack someone.
OR he can criticize others when his identity is open to scrutiny for the same.
Well, you know my feelings. This is what almost destroyed the site the first time. I can tell you however, if he stays, then I'll let my invisible posters free on the site too. The only way to fight a coward is kiss his ***!
I don't have a dog in that fight but it seems
to me that people who want their opinions
known should be man or woman enough
to stand publicly behind those opinions.

Intresting. There is as much about you in your profile as there is me. You have one name: Cathy. I have my name Mac. You have one email address, I have mine. My name is Mac. It seems the issue here is the fact that someone challenges people when they attack a person's integrity. Strange thing is that you appear more intrested in allowing incorrect attacks on integrity.

My email address gives my last name. I have said I live in Medfield. It is not difficult to figure out who I am if a person wanted to. I am known by a number of participants on this forum.
All this talk about integrity. Who's integrity is being maligned? You have to establish some integrity before it can be attacked. Being a voice disconnected from source does not establish credibility or integrity. Do you think that the things that you say should be given value just because you have said them? That's difficult to do when you hide who you are. Your stealth attack tactics are not appreciated, as they would not be appreciated by anyone else who would hide their identity and then verbally blast the things that people say.
It is pretty evident that there are people on this forum who are not the least bit shy about challenging the assertions of others. And they are still talking to each other. Some who remained anonymous have posted their thoughtful comments without a problem. Why can't you?
Fine..if you must know. My name is Mike A. McCoy(hence the nickname Mac). I am of foreign decent who married a lovely young lady and moved to the States to be with her. I am able to work here, but unable to vote as I would rather not give up my native citizenship. I think that is plenty of information to know about me. I think this matter should now be closed.

Mr Miller's integrity/character was attacked. You dont think it was okay for a person to wrongly accuse a person before getting his facts straight. I also felt that Ms. Vrana was hitting a bit below the belt for My. Hyatt and I called her on that. So get over it and move on with your life.

You are right. That's more than enough.

No, I don't think that this kind of thing is okay. Hopefully, disagreements can eventually drill down to the facts, instead of relying on emotionalism. Thsi process is disrupted by blatantly agressive "slice and dice" attacks from an unknown source of refute.
So get over it and move on with your life.
Unnecessarily abrasive comments like these are a good example of how you get no where in a discussion.

Previous post is my response.
Enough said.
Thank you for introducing yourself, Mac. I'm sure that your input to these discussions can add an interesting dimension if we can all be civil.

Dear Mike
Good to hear from the real you. With a name like McCoy and you being a 'foreigner' and all, I'd guess you're from Liberia 8O
Dispite my ethnic sounding name, I was born a Blair and am currently President of the Scots-Irish Society. In fact I recently shot a documentary film on the problems in NI (I mean Liberia) so maybe we should still have that coffee. Since no one I know seems to have heard of you before, it's not surprising that many of us would be leary of you.
I personally don't question your opinions or your right to state them, but may of us have been past victims of hit and run snipering and this site has been too productive of late, to resort to that. If you have a particular problem with me, say 'Ken, I have a problem with that!' (Like Don F, Don H, Cathy, Brent, John B, Kelly et all seem to have no problem in doing.) Then we can simply address it out in the open.
It's just comments that seem to cast asperions on people's characters, above and beyond the completely acceptable, 'Ken, you suck,' that are suspect.
When I was a kid, something called 'sounding' was very popular. In other places I undertand it was called 'ranking.' It basically involved me insulting you and then you trying to come back and insult me better. Obviously it was childish but we were kids, The one rule that was unspoken but never broken, however, was where the line was. I could talk about your ulgy shoes, nasty clothes or where you lived. I could make fun of your glasses, your braces or your pimples, but I could never get so caught up in the game that I made fun of your mother's cancer or the fact that your uncle committed suicide.
I can't speak for the rest of folks on the site but I think that pretty well describes the unspoken rules on this site. By the way, how did the dinner go with Anthony Hopkins?

Pretty accurate description, in my opinion.

I doubt you speak for anyone on this site other than yourself. It seems you and your wife top the list of angry humans. I can understand that you have pain, but personal attacks on a person only serve to show your own paranoia. It also helps to READ the posts. I'm flying out tomorrow, and Im NOT having dinner with him. I am interviewing him for a story.
MAC
So Mac, this is what I get in response to what I tried to make as positive a posting as I could?! Well I tried and I rest my case. You are what you are and I'm way to busy to bother.
It is curious that you seem to know so much about my wife and I, AND that you feel as if you can speak for us. If you know us sooooooooooo we'll, thenI would imagine I would recognize your name. Since I don't, I'll leave other people to make what they will of this.
One way or another Michael Francis, it seems from your postings that you have a lot more anger than I do. All Lisa's and my anger pretty much went away on Election Day. As I've mentioned a number of times on this site, I'm made my own peace with Harold and Lang's gone. Two out of three ain't bad, as they (and Meatloaf) says.
I'm looking forward to 4 years of not being angry. Take my word for it (not that I expect you to.) Your anger will eat you up.

I only know of what you and your wife have posted and by watching your behaviors before, during, and after elections. Now its time for this matter to be put to rest and for you to get on with your life.
Mac
Thanks for your permission Francis. I think I just said we'd done that.
I suggest you do the same or it will be you and me buddy! By the way, what's Sir Anthony's agent and publicists name? I'd figure if you're flying out to interview him you'd know that.
Have a great day

It would be extremely unprofessional for me to reveal any of my sources of information. Of course you have an understanding of professionalism right?
Mac
What the hey...first name of his agent is Nick and his wife is Paula. Publicist first name is Paul, but Catherine does a bit of work for him too.

This is definitely a most bizarre thread.

I don't think so Francis but I'll check tomnorrow.
Hey Kelly, this is show biz talk. Not to worry. 8)

Right. And we can expect the same amount of accuracy as previous posts. I guess getting on with your life wasnt really all that true was it?
Mac
I'll get the info, post it and people can call and check on you themselves. Meanwhile, I no longer have the patience to play with you. You can post all you like. I'll just ignore you from here on in. Bye.
Yeah...took you 2 minutes to ignore me this time. Oh and I consider posting that information a little on the unprofessional side.
