Harvilla filed this afternoon.

Will it's official then. Word has it that Jack is not too happy about some of the REP leadership putting a REP up against him.

...Ok...where is a quick apartment to rent???

Split ticket, wow. Even in a non-partisan race, this is better than a good kick in the gonads. Guess it just shows that Jack acts and performs like the majority party in the NC House and Senate.

Every time I hear the many state Republicans tout property rights, I think of both Jack and Ernie and snicker about this fragmented party. Perhaps Ernie and Jack are Richard Morgan followers. The big question is how will the rest of the Cary Republicans view this.

Any way…looks like an opening for a democrat.

…Hey Stan, about that room…..

If Cary still had plurality elections, I would have to agree. However, with things as they are, adding a DEM to the mix will do little more than force a runoff. Regardless of who else might be in the race, the odds of Jack not making a runoff (if there were one) are negligible.

Perhaps Jack should spend more time answering to the people instead of the REP leadership. If he did, it might not matter what the REP leadership did.

Ok, for us non-insiders. What's the deal here? I thought Jack was held in the highest regard by the local Republican leadership. He has done his time, paid his dues, and voted as told -- so what, he isn't "Christian" enough? To me, this would be ultimate the backstab. Now the question is, does Jack withdraw for the good of the GOP, or fight back?

Does this mean the Wake County GOP is "in-fighting" again (Christain Right Wingers v. Fiscal Conservatives?)

Curious minds want to know!

little more than force a runoff.

little more than force a runoff? Assuming a 1/3 split among 3, any incumbent that only get 33% has big time PR problems And for the sake of argument, say a DEM enters and gains say 44 to 48%. That means the incumbent in probably under 30%

*IF* such a thing were to happen and I was a campaign manager for the opponent to Jack, (should he make the runoff cut) I know what I would be exploiting.

And for the record, I don’t think that my thoughts here are greatly out of line. I know how I would advise to run against Jack, and I will admit, it would not be pretty, but the record and videos speak for themselves

Time will tell
