View Full Version : Council member Mike Joyce for mayor?
I've heard a lot of good things about Mike Joyce on carypolitics.org. I'm just curious how many carypolitics.org members consider him as a serious future candidate for mayor.

No chance whatsoever. Cary's Mayor needs to have Cary's citizens best interests at heart and right now we are at a time when many of the interests of Cary are mutually exclusive with those of the surrounding unincorporated areas. Ugly truth but that's the way it is and Mike has made it clear he is more likely to side with the citizens of the unincorporated areas when it comes to property rights issues. Can't say I disagree with him (especially in some cases) but the odds of him getting enough across the board support for Mayor is practically nil. He has a much better shot at State House or Senate than he would for Mayor of Cary.

How about this:
Joyce for Congress
Just a thought. But lord know, David Price hasn't done zulch for this district in years. Case it point, why is I-40 so nice in Greensboro, but horrible here. Until we get rid of the three stooges (Price, Miller, Etheridge (D-NC)) we will never see any of the sweet, sweet, pork money from Washington (especially for highways).
