I wouldn't stand too close to him. It's a wonder he hasn't been struck by lightning yet.

What a total bunch of crap from Curran.
1. Create a highly exaggerated problem regarding Cary's debt - then blame it on Julie Robinson. Forget that Republicans voted for the same measures. forget that the public voted to authorize the expenditures. Forget the AAA bond rating. This is the Ernie strategy revisited and barely revised. Those who bought this argument the first time were simply naive. Those that buy it a second time...shame on you.
2. Blame the economic policy committee's (since renamed the Economic Development Commission) lack of results on Julie Robison...whatever happened to Ernie McAllister. Blame the proposal to hire a new ED consultant Julie...WHATEVER HAPPENED TO ERNIE MCALLISTER.
2. Community schools and fiscal responsibility!!! Assuming Mr. Curran and his cohorts had the power to create community public schools....highly doubtful..how in the world would they accomplish this without spending huge amounts of money for new schools. AND A COMMUNITY SCHOOLS WOULD COST MORE TO RUN THAN A LARGER cOUNTWIDE SCHOOL SYSTEM THEY WOULD REPLACE. At the least this is intellectual dishonety ..to put it bluntly Curran is a liar.
I can't say I agree with everyone of Mrs Robison's votes. Whether or not you consider them right or wrong they were made with the interests of the citizens of Cary in mind.
But Mr. Curran has gone way over the top in false and misleading campaigning. He ought to be ashamed of himself...as should anyone who buys his garbage. Mr. Curran uses the word "integrity" freely. Where is his own?

"The favorites of parties, although they have always some virtues, have always many imperfections. Many of the ablest tongues and pens have, in every age, been employed in the foolish, deluded, and pernicious flattery of one set of partisans, and in furious, prostitute invectives against another; but such kinds of oratory never had any charms for me; and if I must do one or the other, I would quarrel with both parties and with every individual of each, before I would subjugate my understanding, or prostitute my tongue or pen to either."
John Adams - August 29, 1768
Co-Signer of The Declaration of Independence
Two-Term Vice President
America's Second President
