While we wring our hands about the torture of being forced to parade nude while wearing womens underwear, they behead some poor guy looking for work trying to rebuild their own d@mn telco infrastructure. What are the odds of seeing Dan Rather 'apologize' to Berg's family for inflaming a situation that was clearly already being investigated?

Perhaps Rene Gonzalez will now write an article about what an idiot Berg was and that it was his own fault his head was cut off while a bunch of tiny-pricked misogynists danced and shouted about how "great" their supposed god is. I don't care what some of the left thinks - most of the terrorists we are fighting are animals. Unfortunately, the best way to kill an animal is to either be an animal yourself or to use an exterminator. The extermination option is starting to look pretty good about now...

Don,

DITTO!

to angry to say anymore -- needless to say it has reach about the same level as that SOB who threw the hand grenade into the tent full of his comrades (currently on trail at Ft. Bragg.)

When I received the "breaking news" email earlier, I was just stunned. Numbness set in quickly as my mind went to thoughts of how the blatant "in your face" executions will escalate. The shameful abuse of the Iraqi prisoners WILL NOT be the reason that more non-combatants end up dead at the hands of the Muslim fundamentalists. Nick Berg was not the first and he won't be the last. We WILL see more blatant vicious behavior from the terrorists

Daniel Pearl was executed in the same manner, and we were horrified and saddened then. His execution wasn't televised. We tried to understand that incident by telling ourselves, "It's because he was a media reporter". But there have been many more non-combatant victims between Daniel Pearl and Nick Berg.

If anyone says that these people deserved their deaths in this manner, then they will sound eerily similar to the PERPETRATORS THEMSELVES, as they find justification in their "holy" books, that tell them "Death to Infidels". In their book, Dan Rather is an Infidel too, and he would likely fair no better in the terrorists hands, with or without the shameful actions of the prison guards. The Geneva Convention means NOTHING to them.

Pearl was slaughtered because he was a Jew. The animals made him repeat that over and over. Oddly enough Dan Rather, et al, edited that out of their reporting. That would make it seem as if Muslims hate Jews.

The Berg case is NOT an anomoly. If anyone had ever seen Death of a Princess they would know this is as good as it gets with Islam. It can't and won't ever get any more humane or civilized. It's a barbaric religion and always has been.

As someone who has studied Islam and lived in a Muslim nation I can honestly say I am not surprised. Like their predecessors from the time of Mohammed, these animals will slaughter prisoners and rape anything that stops moving or can be held down, all with the blessing if not the command of their moon god al-illah.

This must please certain leftists in America to no end.

Two paragraphs from an op ed on this topic:

In the American detention center that grabbed world attention and ignited a self-whipping crusade in the U.S., men were shown naked, piled up and humiliated. But because American is a free and democratic society, such acts of humiliation and abuse are abhorant to American people everywhere and come to be quickly judged and condemned. This is because Americans value life and live in an open society which exposes its own injustices. The rights of detainees are sacred in America, even if these detainees are terrorists and have taken innocent lives.

At the Abu Ghraib of jihad, however, innocents are slaughtered at will at the discretion of unholy warriors. In the al Zarqawi "detention centers," there are no laws, there are no codes, and there is no humanity; only a cult of death exists that demands the slaughter of innocents and perpetuates itself without justice or reflection.

JohnB has a point, what they did to the guy was considered very humane in their society - barbaric none the less.

However, I have notice that are local prison officials and jailers are very mum about this prison abuse going on over in Iraq. I wonder why? I spent 6 years in the "prison" business and have heard stories that would curl your toes. Lets just say, any of those pictures you see now, could of just as easily been taken over at Central Prison or Durham County Jail. Now in most cases the guards wouldn't be involved (inmate v. inmate), but they will observe till someone get seriously hurt. I believe the starting salary for a prison guard in N.C. is around 20K per year. I think it is about the same for those Guardsman over there. (end rant)

From Qur'an and Hadith's:

“Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah and have gone out for Jihad (holy fighting). Some have completed their vow to extreme and have been martyred fighting and dying in His Cause, and some are waiting, prepared for death in battle.” (Qur’an 33:22)

“Allah’s Apostle said on the day of the conquest of Mecca, ‘There is no migration now, only Jihad, holy battle. And when you are called for Jihad, you should come out at once.’” (Bukhari:V4B53N412)

“Jihad (holy fighting in Allah’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims), though you dislike it. But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and like a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knows, and you know not.” (Qur’an 2:216)

“A man came to Allah’s Apostle and said, ‘Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad in reward.’ He replied, ‘I do not find such a deed.’” (Bukhari:V4B52N44)

“Jihad Is Compulsory.” (Muslim:C40B20N4676)

“Allah’s Apostle said, ‘Know that Paradise is under the shade of swords.’” (Bukhari:V4B51N73)

“Believers, obey Allah, and obey the Messenger! Those who disbelieve and hinder men from the Cause of Allah, He will not pardon. Do not falter; become faint-hearted, or weak-kneed, crying for peace. You have the upper hand.” (Qur’an 047.033)

“Allah’s Apostle said, ‘I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.”’” (Bukhari:V4B52N196)

“Do the *******s think that we are not their equal in fighting? We are men who believe there is no shame in killing. We don’t turn from piercing lances. We smite the heads of the haughty with blows that quash the zeal of the unyielding [non-Muslims]. We’re heroes, protecting our war banner. We are a noble force, as fierce as wolves. We preserve our honor and protect our property by smashing heads.” (Ishaq:489)
