Well, just got the paper. On my first pass thru, looks like Admin Hyatt and "Blue-Teeth" Brent both made it. They were featured about a group of citizen who are reviewing the budget.

Adam did a good job of breaking up the CIP budget into different pieces (he must of had a tape recorder!).

A Big Thumbs up to SteveG :D ! Steve made the LTE on the op-ed page of the N&O. A good letter about bike riding in the the Triangle.

Nice Job Steve.

Admin Hyatt: May I suggest adding a new forum title something like "Totally Fustrated." It would include unpublished LTEs, bad local service, "can you believe this!" or just a place to rant & bi$ch.

This is another one (of many) unpublished LTE's to the N&O. You have to view 15 May's N&O to see the pictures in the H section to see what I mean - enjoy!

The News & Observer
To the Editor:

While reading your Sunday edition, I was taken back by the ghastly pictures you published showing people who survived bad plastic surgery. The heading read "Dwelling on the Positive" and I thought the story was about people coping with the effects of disagreeable plastic surgery. Upon a further review, I noticed all the people were also realtors, so then I thought, they can afford the best that money can buy and yet, the surgeons still botched the job. That one poor woman looked like one of the Joker's models from the first Batman movie.

Then, I read part of the article and realized I was way off base about what the story was really about. However, maybe you should assign a reporter to investigate plastic surgeons in the Triangle area. I would start with the people featured in the H1 story.

Here's an idea wup, don't waste the buck and a half on the N and O.

Unless you have a lot of raw fish needing to be wrapped there is no point to brining that rag into your home.

JohnB,

No doubt, agree with you on the "highest & best use" of the N&O. However, we get it for the TV posting, a few coupon, and the Kids need a weekly "current events" for school (Internet is not allowed). So the N&O does have some use - plus movie guide as well.

Another good use. When cleaning your windows, use the N&O with a mixture of amonia & water.
