A friend sent this to me. I dont know if this is true or not. But it put a smile on my face!

He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying
her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the
fire.

She is pregnant.

When he finally finished putting out the fire, he sat down to catch his
breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, "The
Observer," noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman.

He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was
going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her
life and the lives of her babies, and kissed him, just as the
photographer snapped this photograph.

Kelly, thanks for making my night! I am sitting at m y computer, and three feet away from me is a sweet momma dog and four 5-day old babies. What a nice story to end the day with!

Oh cool! What kind of pups?

I learned something really neat about my lab this week, while we were at the dog park. Rudder weighs close to 100 pounds and Zoe is about 10. A large doberman began to pick on Zoe, and Rudder came and put his body between her and the dobe.(who really did just want to play, but scared Zoe and simply wouldnt leave her alone). Rudder kept his body between them and basically growled the Dobe away from her. Then when I picked Zoe up, and the Dobe again approached us (only to sniff) Rudder once again kept himself between us and the Dobe. I was so touched, and kind of proud of him too. We headed home, and he got half a steak with his dinner!

Kelly, Labs are definitely amazing dogs. We have several and, actually, that is what we normally breed. But the pups I was referring to earlier are our very first litter of miniature poodles, and they are adorable.

Very, very cool. I've been contemplating with our next dog a standard poodle. I say that knowing full well my friends at the SPCA would disown me if I didnt get one of their dogs! Good luck with the pups.

PS Pictures are cool you know...hint hint hint.
