However, if you're looking for something to worry about consider the following:

June 7th will mark 1000 days since the attacks on 9/11.
June 8th marks the death of Mohammed in 632 AD
June 8th also is the date of a very rare astronomical event - Venus' transit across the sun.

Given Al-Queda's desire/propensity for attacking on significant dates, I'll be paying especially close attention on those days. (You probably think I'm nuts but this is really quite tame compared to most of the claptrap out there :-)

I'm not exactly a conspiracy buff...

YES you are!

Seriously I think you are giving these folks much more credit than they deserve. If they were this intelligent, then we would have had more attacks since Sept. 11.

I'm sure yesterday's FBI warning to be on the lookout for suicide bombers is strictly a coincidence...

I don't think that you are wrong to make the connections.
They may act like barbarians, but it would be a huge mistake to discount their intelligence. Misguided intelligence is far more dangerous than actual ignorance.
The death of Mohammed would be a very big deal to the fundamentalists.

And, the digits in 11 add to 2 which carries the special significance of denoting the number of rational adults that put any stock whatsoever in numerology. ;)
