I'm doing my part to alleviate Global Warming this very day, I'm going home to plant some kudzu this afternoon, and setting the timer!
That's great news! Not only will you be helping the planet, with any luck, you'll be buried in days!

Gosh, I'm just overwhelmed. It's just so rewarding to have one's work recognized and appreciated. I'd like to thank my parents, my teachers...

While bobo surely meant the quote, I would not be at all surprised to learn that the WWP plan to use kudzu in their landscaping plan as part of the buffer for the sewage plant. It would be a cost-savings measure, and we would be admonished that we should see it as a benefit to the community since it grows so quickly. Furthermore, there would be an assumption that we are all too backward and uneducated to even know what kudzu is. (Why else would we choose to live in a place that's "just a zip code?")
I'm sure Susan Moran can find a way to spin the use of kudzu. She manages to make it sound as if the hand of God is directing this project.

Daryl,
The pictures you are pointing to on lolhome.com don't work because they use a floating index scheme designed to push people to their site directly. By the time you see a picture there and copy the link, it has been renamed so that when the rest of us go there, the picture isn't found. You still it because your browser has cached the image. If you want to use pictures from there, you'll need to copy them someplace else first.

There will also be a $50 fun tax, with additional penalties for doing so in the vicinity of trees or on real grass!

So Cary is the new Salt Lake City? Where the motto is:
"Everything is either illegal, immoral, or costs money." :hello1:
Thank you, I'll be here all week...

You know, Brent, the only thing I ever got in trouble for in school was for talking too much once I got all my work done. It's pretty hard to shut me up for very long!
However, I am sure that the Cary and the rest of the WWP feel that we have been silenced with the judge's decision on the lawsuit.
I can hardly wait to hear their spin on tonight's news. :^o

Heh...me too!

Good! The only people who might want to are the self-serving ones who put profit, politics, party and/or personal priorities ahead of people (many of them are the same ones who would like me and some other CPers to move to Siberia). And these are precisely the people who have to be kept in line by the relatively few people who pay attention and get involved.
However, I am sure that the Cary and the rest of the WWP feel that we have been silenced with the judge's decision on the lawsuit.
I can hardly wait to hear their spin on tonight's news. :^o
I'm sure they do (they're Goliath, they expected this result) and I think we pretty much know what the spin will be (I'm writing this after the fact, obviously, of "tonight's [now last night's] news", but I'm guessing it was along the lines of:
"We knew their complaint had no standing. Now that these bumbling whiners are out of the way with their silly delay tactics, we can get on with the important business of building the sewage capacity we so desperately need to hold the poop of people who wear suits and drive Mercedes so that we can keep stoking the growth engine that enables us to have expensive suits and Mercedes, not to mention pays for our campaigns".
OK, I'm guessing those weren't their exact words. But I'm guessing that part of that is accurate as a paraphrase, and part of it is correct given that it's already been run through the CP translation engine.
Anyway, the court decision is indeed disappointing but not entirely unexpected, given that, as previously noted, logic and being right don't always mesh with the interpretation of the law.
