Steve was featured (mentioned = 'featured' for this thread  ) on NBC17 last night as professional commentator on Cary's new (and brief) Envision public 'chat'. Not really a 'chat' room in the technical sense but nonetheless, as Steve pointed out, any additional participation by otherwise non-participating citizens is a good thing.

Although the on-line transcript turned him into a tire manufacturer ("Steve Goodrich"). :(

I didn't see the broadcast. They stopped by my workplace for a five minute interview - I don't know why they chose me, other than perhaps because I can type and I live in Cary.

The reporter had me spell my name on camera to get it right. I suspect the transcript was done just by ear.
I gave up expecting correct spelling of my name long ago. The letter "h" has appeared in both my first and last names simultaneously on a few occasions.

Funny!
I would have laughed harder, but that's not the first time I have seen my name spelled that way. Most people have enough brains to get the first name right, but never seem to get the last correct. Oh well.
