Okay, perhaps my favorite kind of sandwich is a Tomato Sandwich. With Mayo, salt and pepper. So my question is..what is the key to a tomato sandwich? Is it the tomato? is it a particular kind of mayo? type of bread?

Whole Wheat, toasted, tomatos evenly sliced exactly 3/16", light mayo, salt & pepper. I'm hungry :-)

Toasted? I've never heard of that. I think it has to be on white bread..preferably wonder bread. And the tomatos have to be home grown. I dont care what the store says, but there IS a difference between home grown and vine ripe. A big, big difference. Guess what's for lunch today?
