DarylB, I'm sorry that you took offense when I said that your allegiance is to the republican party, and not to America as a whole. I had asked you multiple times why you were hoping for the government of the US to fail over the next 2 years, and whether or not you would rather the government do well at solving the America's problems, even if that made things tough for the republicans in getting elected, but you just kept saying you wanted failure. The only conclusion I could draw was that you valued the republican party more than America as a whole. I apologize that you took offense with that conclusion. It was unkind for me to point that out.

I would like to ask you directly, do you want to see the Democratic majority Congress do a good job solving America's problems over the next 2 years, even if it means that republicans don't get a big election boost next election?


Also, I give you a belated Veterans day thank you for your years of service as well.

As far as an apology, this is NOT an apology, but a repeat of the original offenses, with an additional defense of your indefensible actions. Although I did not expect the promise of no personal attacks to be kept, I didn't expect that it would result in illegal behavior (slander) on your part. Your behaviour has even surprised me, and I was expecting the worst from you.

Ok, in light of your vicious attack I withdraw my offer to refrain from personal attacks on you. In any case, you have only shown disdain toward that policy anyways. I still maintain that policy toward all the civil members of the CP society, but you have shown yourself to be unworthy of being treated in a civil fashion. Your incessant babble conveys less useful information than the yelping of a rabid dog, and like said rabid dog, your noisome presence here on CP should be put down.
Despite many misgivings, I decided to take the high road and offer you an apology and explain why I had said what had offended you. To the best of my knowledge, you have never offered an apology to anyone on CP for the outrageous lies which continue to spew forth from your mouth like vomit. I know you have never apologized to me.
If you felt that I had misunderstood your motives for “wants” instead of “predictions” you could have simply clarified that on any one of the several times I asked you if you would be pleased if the country did well with a Democratic controlled congress even if it meant that the republicans wouldn’t do well in the next election. A normal person would have said, “yes, the welfare of America is more important than my allegiance to the republican party.” You still have yet to say anything to this effect.

Also, would you please try to keep at least the simple facts straight? What you are falsely accusing me of is libel, not slander. But then again, I wouldn’t expect you to be educated enough to know the difference, based on the other facts you always get incorrect.
If you want to take legal action, go right ahead. Your posts clearly show what I have said. Just be ready for the counter lawsuit. Bring it on.

Just admit it Daryl. You can't stand it that the Dems won the Congress and are going to stand up the Bush and his whole criminal organization and bring some oversight and put the gov't back in the hands of the people rather than a bunch of thugs who are just out for themselves. You'd rather see the country destoryed than have it in the hands of a democratically elected Congress. And don't forget, THAT'S where the power of the government resides. In the Congress, not in the hands of a unitary executive.
