Sorry Matt...
I won't read Ann Coulter's or Bill O'Reilly's books.
Or Al Franken's.
I don't listen to Rush.
I've never tuned in to Air America.
I think Move-On's ads are juvenile.
And I won't go see this movie.
I'd rather read something by Allen Bloom, Joseph Ellis, or Gerry Spence.
I hate seeing radical partisanship, the decline of intelligent debate, and pure sensationalism degrade the government of this country.
That is all I can say about the movie.
I'd suggest that it would be time better spent reading Ray Bradbury’s novel, "Farenheit 451".
OR MAYBE...spend the time researching the voting records (and stated platform) of all of the candidates on Novembers ballot.
And researching some background on the other issues up for a vote, like "How has Tax Increment Financing worked for other States that have amended their Constitution to allow it?"
You won't need Michael Moore to guide you on how to vote, you'll have your own opinion to guide you.
Then go and vote!

See guys, this is why I shouldn't even try getting involved on this board. Too "techie" for me (as in... there's a "National" issues pages?!?).
Disregard my post

I saw the movie a few weeks ago. It was, as expected, a Bush bashing extravaganza. I think some of it was complete bull but at times he had a few good points.
He walked around trying to get congress people to enlist their sons and daughters in the military which was funny mostly because almost everyone RAN away from him. One guy said, "I know better than that Michael!". He also drove around the capital in an ice cream truck reading the Patriot Act. He showed the classic picture of Donald Rumsfeld in Baghdad in 1983 shaking Saddam Hussein's hand when he worked for Reagan. Actually, I really don't know what the hype was all about. He didn't really say anything new. Almost everything in the movie one would have heard on CNN or MSNBC - Fox didn't probably run alot of it :~)
I didn't see less than a straight ticket democrat in there so I don't think (and didn't from the begining) the movie was going to start converting people so no fears there. All you republicans can just think of it this way...we're all in the theater instead of protesting!

This, or any Michael Moore film, is as much a documentary as is "Triumph of the Will". Moore is a modern day Leni Riefenstahl, propogandist extraordinaire and practicioner of the Big Lie theory.

John - I'm really glad you saw the movie. There are so many people that haven't even seen the movie and go around saying this and that about it. Can you believe that?!? They say things about the movie and they never ever watched it! WOW! That is just unbelievable!
I at least read Bill O'Lieley's book before I said what a bunch of lies it contained. :~P

Whether a commentator has or has not seen it is irrelevant as to whether or not he or she can make an accurate assesment of it.
For instance, from a transcript we could learn Moore makes a specific claim, if we find from verifiable sources that Moore's claim is false we would not be disadvantaged in calling the claim a lie just because we had not seen the movie. No one need to actually rent or view Debbie does Dallas to be able to say it's porn and that porn is unsuitable for children.
Anyone here who has not seen the flick can with certainty know it is rubbish by checking reputable sources for the claims Moore makes and contrast that with the truth.
Seeing the film is insufficient to make serious judgement about it since no one would have access to the conflicting data about it while in the movie theater.
