The funny thing I thought of with the Mr Deity is what my wife said to me a few years ago when she started doing our taxes.

I had always done them until she finished her Bachelors degree in accounting and the following year when she was working on her Masters in Accounting at NCState she took over that task.

She came to me one afternoon with her face burnt red. There were flames coming from her ears. She pointed at me and asked what I had been telling the IRS my occupation was for the past 14 years.

I had always understood that to be a dare.

As such, I put in Deity.

They never questioned it. I assumed that meant that acknowledged my spiritual, moral, and political suzerainity over their miserable hides.

I'm no longer a Deity. Just a minor religious figure.
