Okay so we know Cary officials will admit they won't enforce the sign ordinance against homeowners. Even though they should.

Let's make a list of the laws they have that they won't enforce.

Holly has a good idea. Let's take it further though. I think it would be good for us to all coordinate a mass violation of it and everyone turn themselves in voluntarily. We can get Adam Arnold there at the police station one Saturday and let's expose the law and the city council as a fraud. If they enforce it they get sued for supressing free speech. If they don't they get sued for violating the equal protection clause of the Constitution.

It's time to knee-cap the creeps.

There are other laws they don't enforce, regardless of Windy Hunters gaseous "Zero Tolerance" emanations. If they are going to selectively enforce the law, ie, only against "some" people it makes it seem as if the law is only there to harass people the Coucil/CPD doesn't like and that's not right.

This is an excellent point. I didn't think of it quite in this light before. This "we don't enforce it" attitude really does degrade the authority of the town.

I have NO proof that the town of Cary has anything to do with it but "Stop Cary" and signs of like nature seem to disappear quite often from people yards. I'm waiting for my request to the town to be answered that asks for who/what/where violations have been made.

I really like to speed...maybe we can try that one :-D

Boy_ is this an idea that I wish would take off. This is the kind of public statement that usually gets results and that politicians HATE.
I personally LOVE it!

When an article quoted Fayetteville officials wringing their hands over "How are we going to collect all the trash cans that we've distributed?" as justification for letting the annexation go forward,
my first thought was that the victims of forced annexation should "help them" by organizing a mass collection site where the citizens can pile up all the city cans.

I've got a call in to a sign printer....I think some variation of these'll provoke a response from the city.
