AdminH has announce that he is looking for a sponsor for Cary Politics. Anyone have any suggestions on who might like their logo on Cary Politics, and maybe even some editorial comments?

My list includes:

Wake County Home Builders Association
Wake County Board of Realtors
The John Locke Foundation
Wake County Democratic Party
Wake County Taxpayers Association
Cary Chamber of Commerce
North Carolina Education Alliance
KB Homes
Countrywide Mortgage

I'm sure there are many others.

If the Town of Cary can fund special interest groups like:

Fiscal Year '08

Diamante, Inc $6,000
Cary Visual Arts $9,500
Historical Enrichment Society/NC Ren. Fair $1,000
Hum Sub, Inc. $6.125
etc, etc, etc

..surely they can kick a couple of hundred bucks Hyatt's way to get the best source of information on the ins and outs of local politics. Granted, the signal to noise ratio get to be pretty bad at times, but this is still the best place to get information about what is happening locally.

What business would have customer or potential customers on Cary Politics??? Hmmm.....

Pure Gold.

The NC "Education" Lottery.

Trojan, they'll sponsor anyone, they did sponsor the Clinton Presidency after all.

Michael Vick's Dog Fight Emporium and Hippie Lettuce Outlet.

Reynolds Wrap. God knows they sell enough aluminum foil to the leftist wing nuts for helmets to protect their brains from Bushitler's mind control death rays.

Dorothea Dix Hospital for the residents of Conspiracy Centered Fever Swamps.

Here's a suggestion, why not a "fundraiser"? set the goal ($$ amount) and those of us members and non who value the site for info, amusement, "intelligent debate" etc can donate.. Don could post totals or update on the status.. Do we really need "sponsorship"?

Doritos!

other than that maybe check with Ernie McAlister see if he's got some money left over??

Some sites, such as this one (http://theoildrop.server101.com/forums/ubbthreads.php) give special avatars to contributors and sponsors.

LOL! If he has some money left over, I'm willing to bet that CP is the LAST place any of it will go.

It seems Don Frantz Automotive will sponser ANYTHING!!! (sorry Don  )

Almost anything. We have drawn the line with regards to clubs/sports teams whose membership include leftist property aquisition managers that drive Azteks. ;-)

It seems anybody that drives an Aztek should be off limits...

You want someone who typifies the character and very nature of Cary... Hey, I know, how about Asplundh Tree Removal Services?

A Pontiac Aztek? So many interrogatives to choose from....

I guess the one question I have for any Aztek owner is "Why do you not fall down more?"

Isn't ownership of the indian ancestors of present day Mexicans (either legal of illegal) a little politically incorrect?

I do not think that most of us here (irrespective of our heritage) need to worry about being politically correct....wait a second..this group also includes Harold, Erv, Don, Stan and other luminaries. Do we have a plan C??
