As a graduate of the inaugural class of the Town of Cary School of Government, I HIGHLY recommend it. Learn how your local government operates and how you can be a more effective part of it.
My wife also went through the SoG, as have several CPers and many others.

Get an innovative, hands-on, behind-the-scenes look at Town government, decision-making, and the people and facilities that provide the services you use every day. Applications will be accepted through July 31 for the 2008 School of Government. Sessions are scheduled for Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. from September 10 through October 22 plus one session on Saturday morning, September 20, from 9 a.m. to noon.
