Southwest of Apex overnight Kenn Gardner signs have appeared like clusters of roadside mushrooms (definitely not the fungi or lichen variety).

Apparently this was the weekend when many candidates chose to have their sign planters busy at work.

Advantage: Harrel supporters. Gossage signs were planted all over the roadsides, the Harrel people came in right behind them and placed all their signs right in front of the Gossage ones.

I don't live this district but I drive through it on the way to work.

This is very bad form putting your signs directly in front of other signs and I saw several instances of it by Harrel. Petty, so very petty.

I agree, and hope someone from the Gossage campaign will get it fixed.

Not disagreeing at all (I personally would never put up a campaign sign to block an opponents).....but conceptually speaking is that really any different than say, trying to "block" attention to your opponent's historic speech by placing your shockingly surprising VP pick immediately "in front" of it? Seems to me they are EXACTLY the same thing at an ethical level.....only one "cheats" the opponent out of a $1 or so of publicity and can be done by anyone with a sign while the other "cheats" the opponent out of millions of dollars in publicity and can only be done by the guy at the top of the ticket. Just food for thought.

Getting my sign blocked would be a big step up for civility in my neighborhood. I've had bumperstickers peeled off my car and the car keyed over bumper stickers before. And someone (no, it most definitely is NOT me) has knocked over my next door neighbor's McCain/Palin sign thre times (that I've noticed) in the last week.

I saw him yesterday and he didn't mention that they are going to move them. They could leave them where they are to make a point. :) You can put on a bowtie, but that doesn't make you well-mannered apparently. Could be too subtle though . . . .

I'm surprised his signs aren't shaped like bow ties, given bringing back that type of neckwear seems to be his biggest accomplishment in District 41. Oh yeah, and those District Dialogues where we talk a lot but nothing actually happens.

FWIW, I wish the Gossage campaign would get it together. I told Bryan I'd canvass my neighborhood and get signs in yards, not a peep back.
