I came across this book after reading about it on NANDO over the weekend:
What We Could Have Done with the Money: 50 Ways to Spend the Trillion Dollars We've Spent on Iraq (Paperback)
Amazon.com: What We Could Have Done With the Money: 50 Ways to Spend the Trillion Dollars We've Spent on Iraq: Rob Simpson: Books
Some possibilities:
1. Pave every highway with gold.
2. Fix social security.
3. Free college for every high schooler.
4. Provide free healthcare to every American.
Written in a funny tone with hints of sarcasm built into it, this is a great stocking stuffer for Christmas.

I bought that book a few months ago. It's not as funny as I thought. More sad that we could have actually spent that money helping people instead of killing them.

In Washington, it's now what they call "Chump Change". Pelosi and Reid bent the arms of a lot of Republicans bailing out Wall street investors, and Barney Frank.
We were taken to be "Chumps" who paid for the "Change".... ala "Chump Change".
Liberals seem quite content to spend Obama's next trillion for socialist goodies, but won't spend anything to defend the country. If you're not going to fund the troops, why don't you bring the ones home that we've still got left in Europe?
