Well deserved victory!
And congrats to Ty Harrell and Jennifer Weiss, too!.
The one big Wake County question mark right now is....will Dollar squeak out *another* tiny margin victory? After riding a truly sleazy campaign to a neck & neck win over Greer Beaty in 2006 he now leads Al Swanstrom by a mere 255 votes with 20 of 21 precincts in. No clue which precint is left or who is favored.

Congrats Stan! I know that we have not always agreed on schools but I voted for you because you ran a classy campaign and kept your cool under fire. Please hold the schools accountable for our children.

Ditto -- Congratulations Stan!
I hope you will remain active here on CP and I hope you will follow Mayor Weinbrecht and Councilman Frantz's lead and start a blog with regular postings so that citizens have a better understanding of what the commissioners do.

Congratulations Stan!
Don't forget to keep those libraries running!
Congrats, Stan. You and I may not agree all the time, but I respect anyone who puts their money where their mouth is and runs for public office. One thing I am certain of is that your heart is in the right place.
On a related note - I guess the "little guy" can be successful in a county-wide election without hundreds of thousands of dollars huh? :-)
I'm sure I'll see you around, but while I've got your ear...there is this hotel/meals tax distribution formula I'd like to chat with you about. :-)

This is a tribute to the fact that Cary Politics really does have nice people. I know many of you disagree with Stan yet you still offer your hands in congratulations and support.
I'm impressed!
Sometimes the things that we have in common are what bring us together, but our ability to embrace and find joy in our differences is what keeps us together.
Congrats Stan!!

Congrats Stan!
Only thing I can say is that I am glad I no longer live in Dutchman Downs.....I can just see a "ETJ" recomendation in Wake County soon!
Seriously, I sincerely wish you the very best. Good Job for you and us Democrats!
