Didn't really know where else to put this one, but as a "consumer" of professional hockey, I think this is a low point in ... well, forever, for the Habs (aka Montreal Canadiens)....

These guys had to feel like the NC State guys did when they were forced to introduce their "Unitards".
And just to keep it political, the ECHL did a great job in their own right!!!!
Meanwhile, the much anticipated "Gov. Rod Blagojevich Prison Uniform Night" (http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Minor-League-Malarkey-Star-Wars-and-Hockey-Coll?urn=nhl,136331) finally happened on Friday, in which the Las Vegas Wranglers (prison uniforms) and the Bakersfield Condors (Department of Corrections uniforms) of the ECHL honored the besieged former Illinois governor. From Puck Daddy reader 'Puck It Dano' comes this video glimpse of the minor league malarkey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjBXG0QaSE0&feature=related) (not sure what's going on with the soundtrack):

The jerseys for the Las Vegas Wranglers' "Rod Blagojevich Prison Uniform Night" are shown above in this illustration. The Wranglers will face the Bakersfield Condors at the Orleans Arena on Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. The Wranglers will wear the black-and-white striped prison style uniforms while the Condors will sport the orange jumpsuit jerseys.
