Yes, there are more expensive places. There are fancier places. There are "hipper" places. However, there is no better place for flavor, creativity, portion size, price and just that mind-blowing feeling you get when you bite into one of Michael's special creations. Totally original creations that change all the time. The place definately has an attitude because they know their food is the best. Everything has some spice and some just flat burn but there is no better fish anywhere in town.
Bypass Bonefish and go get the Voodoo tuna or the prosciutto-wrapped Mahi Mahi over rissoto with madiera mushroom and chilli-pepper sauce.
Two people can split the grilled Caesar salad, the best calimari in town and then split an entree(how about Beef filet medallions over hand-made sweet potato triangles and shrimp & lobster raviolis covered in gorganzola cream sauce).
Best of all it's not a chain but a Cary original! Forget the chains, they can't touch them.

I lived here for seven years and have never heard of this place. Is it new? Where is it located? And, do I need to take out a 2nd mortgage to eat here? Is it family friendly? Do they allow smokers?
Please advise -

It's in the same building as Woody's Bar and Grill. Fat Sound (guitar shop) is right beside it. It is pretty good..

Good point. I think it's time to run a front page poll asking if it's time for the forums to be restricted to registered users only.

I dont see a point to it, because anyone can register with any name. I could actually be someone else and no one know it. Maybe I am....

Actually, I do not work for nor am I being paid by Maximillian's(not that lucky)! However, I am a Cary native who has eaten in every restaurant(well-**** close!) and I'm telling you the place is fantastic. I don't even get free drinks there. It's food with an attitude! In a way it's the anti-Cary-nothing plain-jane. And although I have seen Julie there, never had to the pleasure of running into the "Clubber". I recommend eating at the bar where you'll no doubt have some righteous conversation with Margie the bartender. It's where people who work at other restaurants eat when they want great grub!

I guess it's okay to post without being registered as long as your identified? Had some problems with the old CBG site(unpleasant email from certain people).

Maybe that's why I couldn't use that username as a guest but if I am then that's even better. Don't remember registering but that's okay. I reckon there's a bit of a difference between how this board is run and the 'ole CBG(bless Gary's heart)

No, there's nothing on the menu over $21 and that is usually a twenty ounce Thai Strip steak or a Thai whole-stuffed lobster(shrimp, crab, scallops, chilis, jalapenos, etc.). Average price is about $16.00 but there is a lot of food. Best thing to do is split and appetizer (calamari, duck spring rolls, ceviche, grilled-caesar salad, etc. and then split the entree. Very good wine list and Harpoon IPA on tap :P

Tom,
Not a problem....I just like to poke short bald guy, Hyatt, in the ribs every so often. Keeps him on his toes.
I do disbelieve one thing you wrote....a Cary native????? Are you serious?
Maybe SBG can give us an idea how many users of the old cbg site are here....I was never on it so when people make references to it it is greek to me. Speaking of which.....Spartacus Grill is sounding good right now.
