I heard the same thing. I wonder if it is true?

Could be an interesting race with the current Mayor already committed; what does a third candidate do to it?

Remember the Lang re-election run a few years back in Cary? Morrisville has no run off, winner takes the seat.

And indeed I have heard rumblings that a third candidate may throw in his/her hat.

The Morrisville election looks like 2 females and a male running? :-B

Unlike the Cary Mayoral election a few years ago where it was 2 males and a female. Lang seemed to run as the spoiler (spent no money) got what 25% of the vote and the voters went for Ernie Mac. (the new comer) in the run off. But didn't Ernie (the change candidate) win the first round of voting back then? :read2:

I think Julie won the first round, with Ernie winning the runoff. Similar to when Harold won without majority then Mike Joyce winning in the runoff.

There is no need to suppose when the data is readily available.

Thanks Brent - For those keeping score - Ernie won both the initial and runoff.

Got it on good authority we'll see a woman file today for a Cary race. Hint: her first name begins with a "C." :glasses2:

Here is an article from N&O

Local filings pertinent to the good people on this blog are: Morrisville Mayor Jan Faulkner, Cary Town Councilwoman Julie Robison and Cary Town Councilman Jack Smith.

I find this interesting because when I filed as a candidate for Cary Town council district A my name was the first and only name on the list. This article was written moments after I filed for office.

It does seem odd that your name wasn't included on the list. Just another example of the advantage incumbents enjoy.
