The pdf also includes the endorsements for municipal races.

When do the Wake County Dems release thiers?

Party endorsements in general (not primary) elections are, with a few exceptions, predictable, not terribly significant and, for me, uninteresting, especially in non-partisan races.

I agree, especially in the case where there is only one candidate in a party running. On the other hand, NOT getting a endorsement speaks volumes.

Fine. So when are they released?

What makes you think they will be?

And right below the July 21 press release is a headline that reads: August 11, 2009 is our Next Executive Meeting to endorse candidates for the November 2009 election

So the Wake Republicans have already endorsed candidates. But next month they will have a meeting to endorse candidates. Got it.

Oh - the filing deadline was last Friday. Today is Tuesday. Did the Wake Republicans interview all the candidates before endorsing?

Wake GOP met in Executive session last night (Monday, July 20th) and heard from the Republican candidates. After hearing from them and getting some questions answered, they met in a closed session to decide endorsements. I suspect - but do not know for sure - that the August 11th meeting will be to decide how much effort to put into which races.

And perhaps to consider endorsements for the November 3rd elections. As I understand it, Monday's endorsements were for the Oct 6 races.

Correct.
