Elaine vs. Cal?
Randall vs. Reeves?
D'Annuzio in the south?

I would love to hear what everyone thinks....

Elaine messed up, BIG TIME, when she sat for 8 seconds and couldn't answer if there was anything that would make her raise taxes. She's not very well spoken and has no personality. She has zero chance against Richard Burr. MoveOn sent me an email telling me to vote for her. NOPE.

She'll probably win but there are a lot of us progressives who voted AGAINST her today.

I think Elaine is more to the left of spectrum. We are all underestimating her here. Burr will be tough to unseat but Elaine Marshall will put up a good fight. She connects well with common voters. I agree that she is not made for TV.

Thankfully no one in here seems to be calling for the elimination of runoffs, like so many editorial boards are.

Check out my http://noirvnc.blogspot.com for information on communities that have used IRV and how they have found IRV to be more expensive and results in lower voter turnout.

Just the thing we need to solve our expensive low turnout runoff elections! ;-)
