Below is a link to an online petition protesting the Town of Cary's Political Sign ordinance. I encourage you to review the information provided in the links and then sign this petition online. I have included a field for those living in the ETJ and would also appreciate their signatures on the petition. Please pass this along to others who may have interest in signing the petition.
Your time and concern for this issue is greatly appreciated.

Holly,
You've done a wonderful job!!!
I'll be sending everyone in Cary I know over to view your petition and information!
Again, bravo!
As an aside, there is a gentleman (and I use the term VERY loosely) who pushes a wheelbarrow up our street and takes ALL of the political signs from people's yards.
The only way we knew why our signs were disappearing, was when some poor neighborhood kid saw what was happening and clued the rest of us in.
I guess Lee's truck was broke??

Thank you for the compliment!
My signs were stolen twice. I fixed that though when I got 2 - 5ft sq., 1/4in. solid steal signs weighing about 40lbs each bolted and welded to a 2in. round steal pole secured in the ground >3 feet. It would take a heck of a lot more than a wheel barrow to steal my signs :-D Plus I have another secret weapon which I can't talk about on a public message board
Interesting enough I've had several people say they were "concerned" about what might happen to them if they sign the petition. One email said "What back lash have you got from them [TOC]?"...geesh that doesn't say much for the public speaking out! Some people seem really afraid to speak out...maybe I'm missing something?

Complain once about a city vehicle being driven in violation of the traffic laws, especially a cop car. You'll get the message.

I doubt someone who won't sign a petition would tell on a cop :-D

no no no...that's not what I meant johnb. I meant I doubt that the people who said they won't sign the petition because they are afriad they will get in trouble (or whatever it is they mean) wouldn't have the balls to tell on a cop.
