AP: Kerry Calls Bush to Concede Presidency
2 minutes ago Politics - AP
By CALVIN WOODWARD and RON FOURNIER, Associated Press Writers
WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites) won a second term from a divided and anxious nation, his promise of steady, strong wartime leadership trumping John Kerry (news - web sites)'s fresh-start approach to Iraq (news - web sites) and joblessness. After a long, tense night of vote counting, the Democrat called Bush to concede Ohio and the presidency, The Associated Press learned.
Since you beat me Brent I'll delete my other post.

NBC has independently confirmed that Kerry has called Bush to concede.
Expect a formal concession speech around 1PM EST.

For the first time in his life John Kerry is doing the right thing, and for that I will give him some respect (two thumbs up)! He put the Nation first over his own self-interest. However, I caught this in another blog:
Former Clinto press secretary Dee Dee Myers was on NBC today. She spoke about how polarized the Democratic Party has become and how centrist Hilary Clinton is. I would say the 2008 campaign has begun!
I believe that Hillary Clinton will be the 2008 Democratic President canidate.
What do you all think?
And what about the Republicans. Who is looking good for 2008?
Time to move on!

Hillary Clinton is as much a centrist as JohnB and Mark are!
If Hillary Clinton is a centrist, I am a young, gorgeous blonde.

HRC is an awful feminist.
I'd give her a veep nod, *maybe*, but the country is not ready for her to headline a ticket.
HRC is an awful feminist.
Does that mean she isn't very good at being a feminist or that being a feminist isn't very good?

In MY personal opinion, HRC isn't a very good feminist.
I say that, b/c HRC shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what the feminist movement was all about. I'm 22, so I didn't live through the movement, but feminism wasn't about getting women out of the home, it was about giving women a choice.
HRC's disparaging remarks towards SAHMs ("I didn't stay home and bake cookies...") display a fundamental misunderstanding of what the feminist movement is/was all about.
In any eventuality, her comments lead to one of the following conclusions: she doesn't understand what it's like to be a SAHM, she has a diminished opinion of SAHMs, or that she is uncomfortable/guilty over her decision to not be a SAHM.
Again, this is my personal opinion given her remarks. Her true understanding of the feminist movement and opinions concerning SAHMs remains to be seen.
I am a young, gorgeous blonde.
there aint enough beer in the world to make that possible!

I would have to agree with Kelly.......unless something changes in the next four years. I would think Guliani and Arnold (with an unlikely constitutional amendment) would be possibilities also.

That would serve one purpose....it would infuriate the slobbering left just like Bush's second presidential victory did....and that's priceless...
How about Jeb Bush in 2008?
HIGHLY unlikely, but in 2012, 2016, 2020 maybe......?
