Who is the best VP choice for him. How would he do if he got Georgia's Zell Miller on his ticket as his VP?

Not even remotely possible. Miller has endorsed Bush AND Miller is an implacable foe of the leftwing zealots who've kidnapped the Donkeycrat Party and Kerry is one of the perps.

I know you're kidding...
I feel fairly certain that DC has seen plenty of his ilk and worse.

If Kerry is going to pick another of the Dwarves for his VP then the "logical" (if such a thing can said with respect to Donkeycrat politics of course) choice is Dick Gephardt.
1-he's tight with the labor bosses....the workers don't vote for him because of that but the labor bosses control the money flow...
2-he's from the midwest.....it's hard to be scared of a politician from St Louis...everyone expects Boston politicians to be ideological freak shows and Kerry is that...
3-he burned no bridges, anywhere in the Donkeycrat party....he is well connected to establishment Donkeycrats...that brings cash in from big donors...they don't like loose canons like Dr Dean...EEEEAAAAYYYYHHHHH!
They want some sonofab!tch they can buy and that will stay bought.
4-he is well rehearesed loser....he lost a race for the Donkeycrat nomination in 1988...he helped lose control of the US House for the Donkeycrats in 1994.....he lost his Minority Leader position in the House...he'll know exactly what to do election night this November...:)

I read an article by leftwing political commentator Christopher Hitchens today, this struck me as dead on. When all the nonsense is stripped away here is what the election this year is all about:
I'm a single-issue person at present, and the single issue in case you are wondering is the tenacious and unapologetic defense of civilized societies against the intensifying menace of clerical barbarism. If in the smallest doubt about this, I would suggest a vote for the re-election of George Bush, precisely because he himself isn't prey to any doubt on the point. There are worse things than simple mindedness—pseudo-intellectuality, for example. Civil unions for homosexuals, or prescription-drug programs, are not even going to be in second or third place if we get this wrong. And presidents can't make much difference to the stock market or the employment rate or to income distribution. But they can and must uphold their oath to defend the country.
You can read the whole thing here if you wish:

Great article John. I just think he has Edwards/Kerry wrong.

My thought on that is Edwards realized he probably couldn't get re-elected in a state trending increasingly Republican. He pulled a Slick Willie Hail Mary pass kinda move, he announced a White House bid against an immensely popular President in the midst of a national security crises. No one thought Slick Willie'd pull it off.
The problem Edwards did NOT count on though is that the north eastern Donkeycrat establishment is not stupid. They learned the lessons of Bill Clinton. Clinton "triangulated' against the GOP and them, in effect, Clinton cast the north eastern Donkeycrats as extremists he had to 'triangulate' against what he also cast as GOP extremists. He marginalized (otherized?) them. They lost bad at the polls in 94, 96, 98, 00, and 02 in state, Congressional, and Senatorial elections.
Kerry represents the Kennedy wing of the donkeycrat party, that ain't Bill Clinton's wing of the party. Kerry is gonna skin Terry McAuliffe alive if he gets the nomination.
Edwards was the wild card though. He had a shot, a very small shot, he took ti and ran with it. Give the fool points for being bold at least. The Donkeycrat establishment in the north east would never allow the Breck Girl to be the nominee. What do they need another Southerner at the top of their party for? They can't win in the South.
