Well, I found out a little while ago why people in violation of the sign ordinance rarely get fined.
Apparently, they have to go through SIX TOC departments in order to fine someone.
Talk about bureaucratic red tape!

Who are the biggest, most chronic classes of sign violators? And do you think that Council is anxious to vigorously enforce the ordinances on those groups of people?

In driving thru Morrisville and Raleigh, I can think of a few:
1) New Home Subdivisions
2) Apartment Complex's
3) "Going out of Business" - various
4) "Need to lose Weight"
5) "Need Health Insurance"
6) "Ernie Loves Whales" political signs (left over)
7) Various "Now Open" directional signs
and my favorite --
8) "For a good time  call, BR4-569" (anyone remember Hee-Haw)
