I would assume, I know, that people who claim to be aware of what is going on in politics would understand such references.
I apologize for assuming.
Republican In Name Only
A Marla type creature who uses Republican party affiliation and all that goes with it to get elected, BUT, that candidate's positions on the issues and voting record is indistinguishable from a hard core leftist/Donkeycrat.
I'm not a Republican, but I do find the party labels useful most times. They give the voter a broad outline, most times, of where the candidate fits in the political spectrum. Politicians like Marla defy the label and not in a positive way.

Are there DINOs too? LINOs? GINOs?
Am I a RINO? Is Ken a DINO? Is John an ALBINO?
Here's to the land of the long leaf PINO, it's past NINO and I'm feelin' FINO. What's with the WINO?

Yes, I will admit to that. And this one counts, too. I really have to admit, though, I owe it all to John B. I plan to make a contribution to Julie's campaign in his honor. :)

You two can't vote for Dean, he said this weekend he wanted to be the candidate for guys with Confederate flags on their trucks.
Once I picked myself up off the floor, all I could think to say was "I ain't votin' for that horses' a$$."
Of course the other Donkeycrats attacked him:
John Kerry said "I'd rather be the candidate of the NAACP than the NRA."
The Breck Girl made some nauseating comments that put him in the same corner as Al Sharpton on the issue. Which made me wonder if he really was born in SC and raised in NC.
Lieberman did another Eeyore impression.
It'll be funny to see the Donkeycrats try and win ANY Southern state in '04.
I doubt Kelly has a truck (and if she does it don't ever go off road and there has never been a dead deer, legs up, in the back of it) and Brent doesn't have a Confederate flag.

Actually the last time I did true mud flying four wheeling I was in Alabama in a Ford Bronco. All I can remember is sitting in the middle of the back seat (thank god I put a seatbelt on) and going over a hill/bump and coming to an instant dead stop. We hit so hard, the front axle broke on the spot.
I do like to take the Wrangler around on my grandma's farm. I did take it thru a creek. I thought that was a blast.
As for deer..you would be 100% right. I dont have a problem with people hunting, but I just could never pull the trigger.

Brent doesn't have a Confederate flag.
Sure don't, never have. Got a couple trucks, but no gun racks or "eat more possum" bumper stickers. And I certainly don't intend to vote for any of the current crop of Democratic presidential hopefuls.

Kelly goes off roadin' and Brent isn't voting for Kucinich....
....twice in 24 hours I am floored....someone hit me again with that Howard Dean comment.....
"I intend to be the candidate of guys who have Confederate flags bumper stickers on their pickup trucks."
...next thing you know Al Sharpton will appear at a synogogue apologizing for being an anti-Semite.

Dean's comments or John Edwards. Its a shame the democrats cant come up with something for the debate. There is an editorial in todays paper that you would love John. When I get home and if I have time to type it up I will.

This is a great year....Dean is crushing his opponents and the Donkeycrats are lurching so far to the hard left that conservative and moderate Donkeycrats are abandoning ship.
With Donkeycrat Senator Zell Miller of Georgia already endorsing George Bush it has the makings of becoming a pretty tough year for the Donkeys.
They're guarantteed to loose their Senate seats in South Carolina (Hollings) and Georgia (Miller), they're probably going to loose NC (Edwards) and Florida (Graham) and if they don't watch it South Dakota (P Diddy Daschle) and Louisiana (Breaux) will fall as well.
Dean will be a distinct liability in each of those states, plus the only GOP Senate seat likely to flip Donkeycrat is Illinois.
GOP keeps the White House, picks up 5 seats in the Senate, and up to 6 additional seats in the House. It's not going to be a terribly competitive year for the little donkeys.
All we gotta do is get Dean the nomination!

D@mn! I'm pretty good!
I nailed that election pretty tightly didn't I?
For someone "out of the mainstream" I sure can read tea leaves quite accurately....;)

Nice work, John.
I would like to point out that I nailed the electoral college vote (anyone remember that contest?) to a 'T'.
