TEENS TO GATHER IN CARY TOMORROW
FOR ANNUAL FORUM

CARY, NC – “On My Own: Essential Survival Skills for Teens” is the focus for the Town of Cary’s second annual teen forum, which will be held this Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Herb Young Community Center in downtown Cary. This conference style event, which is designed by teens for teens, will include breakout sessions on a diversity of real world teen topics from political activism, cooking and nutrition, and car talk to surviving high school and college, resume writing, and relaxation and stress reduction. Teens 11-18 are encouraged to attend, with the cost to participate being $7 for Cary residents and $8 for non-residents. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

Back by popular demand is a visit from motivational speaker and “Chalk Man” Sam Glenn. Glenn is renowned for his unique and effective chalk art and multi-media presentation that "speaks" a powerful message.

Cary’s 2004 Teen Forum won the Innovative Program Award at the North Carolina Recreation & Park Association’s State Conference.
