Thanks, Wuptdo. We'll all have to keep up the good work, and we'll all have to write LTEs (to both papers), what with the mayor out promising the developers that this is just a start, and we're going to do even more for them.
Celebrate Morrisville!
Brent, I don't think the Mayor is doing anything. He has yet to vote against the majority on any issue. He certianly has not lived up to his campaign promises of fiscal responsibility. He has been a big disapointment to us right wingers!

Yes......It's getting very difficult to see where he actually intends to go with his stated platform. Is it early diplomacy? or is it caving.....?

As I've stated elsewhere, it's neither. The campaign rhetoric of "Cary's fiscal irresponsibility" was just that - rhetoric. It was very effective and managed to sway the majority of voters but the real goal was simply to win and spur growth by cutting impact fees. It's should be no mystery that that's what is occurring. This points to my main gripe with Ernie's campaign material which is that the "excessive" spending he lamented is mostly in the CIP. He and the rest of the Council aren't about to make major cuts in road construction or city hall expansion and so far they haven't seemed willing to cut out the smaller stuff either. The small stuff wouldn't make much of a dent in the overall budget picture but it would help send a political message that he intends to push for less spending on discretionary projects.

I think you are correct, Don and I agree with you entirely on the suggestions about what they should be looking at cutting!

I agree with Hyatt and Cathy, also, but I have this rather disturbing observation:
First, Wuptdo post a new topic about "adult toys". Later, he posts a new topic about "Local Exposure". I have to say I'm getting just a bit worried about him!  (Joke, of course, Wuptdo!).

Brent - Rofl
Yes, when I think of exposure, I am reminded of the great film "Gremlins" in the early 80's and the one gremlin in the trenchcoat! 8O
