Saw it for the first time last night. Very intense movie. Highly recommend it.

What a good choice. Considered by many as one of the best war movies every made. One of the interesting things about this movie is that you didn't care about the politics of the war. It was about men trying to survive the insanity of war. It was one of the first DVD's I ever bought. The making of the film is almost as interesting as the movie itself.

It extrmely good. One of the things I found intresting was because it was the Germans I initially found myself not caring if they died, I got annoyed when they left the folks in the water to die...but by the end you felt sorry for them and were pulling for them. And then at the end..you couldn't help but feel sorry for them.

The other thing is that there isnt anyway under the sun I would go in a submarine under water.
