View Full Version : Partisanship Run Amuck
It amazes me how "someone" who wrote this article on the CP home page(partisanship run amuck) doesn't even have the balls to identify his/herself. How can you "reccomend" someone or something anonymously? How are we to determine what kind of expert you may or may not be without at least a name? I am going to vote for Joyce and Ernie because "anonymous" say's I should? Get real.
IMHO, Anonymous articles or postings should be eliminated from this forum

The author is known to me. All main page news submissions come through and are approved by me prior to showing up. I verified the source prior to posting. The email was originated by a member of the Wake County Republican Party Executive Committee. The person who submitted the news item asked to remain anonymous. I obliged.

I would be curious as to who that was.

Yet I get castigated for receiving an anonymous tip about the use of Ernie's MS as a campaign issue by the other side....LOL....great....

It's typical, red meat, get out the party cadre for election day kinda stuff.
Nothing terribly unique there at all. I'm just curious if any of the alleged "outrage" here is actually genuine? Do you folks think for more than a fraction of a second the Donkeycrats aren't doing the same thing? And why is it when JULIEFORCARY! and her campaign staffers say things like she's going to "kick his ***" (Ernie) and drive him out of town you defend her as NOT engaging in hateful rhetoric yet this email seems to drive you all nuts with rage.
This is one reason why voters unaffiliated with either of the two parties involved find it hard to take you people and your candidate seriously.

I didn't defend the comments made by Julies husband, I haven't defended her "we don't need leadership that will create turmoil....." quote, and I haven't defended the campaign contribution email (from either side).
Who is "my" candidate John? I am a registered independent (there is/was a reason I am independent) All I said was anonymous posts should be eliminated, and that anyone who wants to "reccomend" a candidate ought to have the balls to say who they are. Period.

The "YOU" was a generalized....I perhaps should have said "all y'all"....
Anyway:
"If this individual is a "ranking" GOP member, why wouldn't they want to identify themself?"
Unless I am reading this wrong, the person that wrote the email is NOT the one who submitted it for posting.......the person who submitted it wanted to remain anonymous. The author of it, evidently, doesn't know it has been posted, I assume.
Do you (y'all) think anonymous postings should be posted? Shouldn't at least their name be required?

if the person feared retribution from his fellow republicans, yes. Otherwise, I dont put a lot of faith in anonymous postings. Except for john Barbara's cause I knew it was really him.
