FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 6, 2005

WORK ON HIGH HOUSE ROAD WIDENING PROJECT BEGINS

In an effort to ease congestion in the western Cary, the first phase of the High House Road Widening Project and railroad bridge replacement will begin on April 18th. Motorists will begin to see road work signs and can expect brief lane closures between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The first work motorists will notice is tree clearing followed by Progress Energy, Time Warner, Bellsouth, and the Town of Cary relocating utility, phone, and cable lines. This relocation work should be completed by late summer when the road widening and bridge replacement work will begin. For more information on this project, visit the Town’s Web site at www.townofcary.org or contact Tom Ellis, Project Engineer, at (919) 469-4333 or email tom.ellis@townofcary.org.
